The Politics of Conservation

This colloquium probes into the past and present histories of museums, nature and species conservation, protected areas and national parks. In focussing on the“politics of conservation”, the talks critically examine the narratives, knowledges and technologies of conservation and its colonial and neocolonial contexts: What is conserved, how, by whom, and who benefits?
