Julia Reidy

studies art studies and lives in Berlin. She is a student research assistant in the project.

Julia Reidy holds a bachelor’s degree in art and visual history, and classical archeology from the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. She is currently doing a master’s degree in art studies at the Technische Universität Berlin and, since 2022, has been working as a student research assistant in the research project “Museums and Society – Mapping the Social” in the department of Modern Art History at the Technische Universität Berlin. Her interests include twentieth-century Eastern European art history, exhibition practice, and museum knowledge transfer.

In “Museums and Society – Mapping the Social,” she is particularly interested in taking a power-critical perspective on museum collections and institutions, and how this perspective can be incorporated into the project’s working methods. She also finds the project’s interdisciplinarity exciting, as it allows different perspectives and approaches toward the field of study to mix.
